Raymond Trujillo Bonsell, a 48-year-old resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, was arrested on April 21, 2026, following a Sheriff’s Office investigation into financial crimes in Marathon, Florida. Bonsell faces 20 counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and one count of organized scheming to defraud.
The investigation determined that Bonsell, a former employee of the Crane Point Museum and Nature Center, used a company credit card for 20 unauthorized transactions between October 2025 and November 2025. These purchases totaled more than $2,315.
According to investigators, many of the transactions occurred at a local hardware store and did not correspond to any official projects or maintenance at the museum or nature center.

Authorities concluded the items purchased were for Bonsell’s personal gain rather than business purposes. Warrants were issued following the discovery of these discrepancies, and Bonsell was booked into jail on Tuesday.
The Sheriff’s Office indicated that the investigation is ongoing, noting that more charges and additional arrests may be pending.
