TAMPA, FL. – A suspect is in police custody after a wild shooting spree inside of an apartment building and exchanging rounds with police.
According to police, at approximately 6:45 PM, the Tampa Police Department Communications Bureau began receiving numerous phone calls, over 30, about a subject who was armed and firing rounds inside of the Metro 510 Apartments.
An off-duty Tampa Police Officer engaged the suspect and exchanged rounds.
The suspect was then taken into custody.
Police say there are no reported injuries. This incident is under investigation. Updates will be provided as they become available.
