At an award ceremony produced by CNN honoring Adam Sandler last month, legendary comedian Chris Rock asked, “Are you guys really going to arrest Trump?”
“Do you know this is only going to make him more popular? It’s like arresting Tupac. He’s just gonna sell more records. Are you stupid?” Rock commented.
“[Trump] f—ing a porn star and paid off someone so his wife couldn’t find out. That’s romantic,” Rock said.
“We’ve all been cheated on. Don’t you wish that the person that cheated on you paid off somebody so you wouldn’t find out?” Rock said.

These comments by Rock were cut by CNN for the broadcast show, but it appears Rock was right.
On Wednesday, Rasmussen Reports, a right-leaning pollster, reported that Trump’s approval spiked following his indictment by the far left, George Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
Trump now leads Biden 47-40, according to Rasmussen.
That’s Trump’s best mark in 17 months and a 10-point swing from just weeks ago, Rasmussen noted on Twitter. It’s also his widest gap over Biden since November 2021 and the highest absolute percentage of the vote he’s recorded since September 2021.
In a video tweeted on Wednesday along with the results, Mark Mitchell, Rasmussen’s chief pollster, called the outcome “pretty stunning.”
“Voters are very much paying attention, and they do not like what they see,” Mitchell said.
Just a month ago, Biden led 45-42.
Mitchell attributed Trump’s turnaround to his visit to East Palestine, Ohio, after the train derailment there, his recent rallies and the indictment, on charges of business records fraud for a payment to stripper Stormy Daniels.

Bragg contends Trump’s “hush money,” to cover up an affair, which Trump denies, influenced the 2016 election, and was illegal because it amounted to an undeclared campaign contribution.
Shockingly, the support of liberals helped swing Trump’s recent reversal.
Following the indictment, his support among self-declared liberals jumped 26%, among Democrats, it rose by 19%, with Hispanics it increased 18%; and among women, it went up 15% — all of which were equal to or higher than the gain recorded among GOP voters.
The bottom line about what Rasmussen called Trump’s “massive comeback”: “The first presidential indictment in history, and it made Trump the most electable he’s been in a year and a half,” said Mitchell.
