One of the event organizers, Kristen Krutz said to The Free Press, “Thank you, officers, for the sacrifices you make every single day! We love our city, and appreciate the men and women in blue that protect it!”

At 195 feet long and with 22-foot tall letters, this is the first ‘Back The Blue’ mural to be painted in a major city. Two groups were involved in this mural, Back the Blue Florida and Community Patriots of Tampa.
