Bared On The Highway: Shirtless Florida Man Arrested After Flashing U.S. 1 Traffic

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A morning commute took an unexpected turn on Wednesday after a Mount Dora man was caught exposing himself to passing drivers on U.S. 1.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to Mile Marker 106 at approximately 9:28 a.m. on June 17, 2026. Motorists had called authorities to report a shirtless man pulling his pants down right on the side of the highway.

Deputies quickly located the suspect at the scene. When questioned, the man attempted to conceal his identity by providing law enforcement with a false name. Investigators later identified him as 49-year-old Jeremiah Michael Armsey.

Following the encounter, Armsey was transported to Mariners Hospital in Tavernier for a routine evaluation.
