Behind Closed Doors: Florida Math Teacher Arrested After Secret Student Affair Unfolds

A 37-year-old teacher from Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School is behind bars this week following a Brevard County Sheriff’s Office investigation into an alleged sexual relationship with a male student.

Kirsten Rose was taken into custody on April 10, 2026, by agents from the Special Victims Unit after authorities spent weeks piecing together the details of the illicit encounter.

The legal fallout for Rose is significant. She currently faces one charge of lewd and indecent conduct by an authority figure alongside five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

The case first came to light in March when the student’s parents noticed something was wrong. According to investigators, the parents grew suspicious after their son failed to come home on time.

They eventually tracked him to an unfamiliar residence. After being confronted by his parents, the student admitted he was involved in a relationship with a teacher at his school.

Detectives say the digital trail started late last year. Evidence suggests that Rose and the student began messaging each other on social media back in November 2025.

What started as online communication allegedly escalated into physical encounters. Investigators determined that the relationship became sexual on multiple occasions throughout February and March of 2026.

Following her arrest, Rose was booked into the Brevard County Jail, where she is currently being held without bond.

While an arrest has been made, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office noted that the investigation remains active. “The investigation remains ongoing,” officials stated, as they work to ensure all facts are uncovered.

Authorities are asking anyone with additional information about the case to contact the Special Victims Unit.
