TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Convention Center (TCC) is closing out 2025 with its most significant accolade of the year. ConventionSouth magazine has named the venue its “Best of the Best Convention Center,” a title reserved for the Readers’ Choice winner that secures the highest number of votes.
The distinction identifies the waterfront facility as a premier hub for meetings, conventions, and corporate gatherings across the Southern United States.
According to TCC leadership, the award reflects the operational success of the center’s staff and partners in managing high-volume events.
“Being selected as the Best of the Best is a true testament to the hard work and commitment of our entire team and valued service partners,” said David Ingram, Executive Director of the Tampa Convention Center. “From planning to execution, every event we host is powered by our staff and partners, who help make Tampa a standout destination for event managers and planners worldwide.”

The award serves as the capstone to a year defined by high traffic and industry recognition. Over the course of 2025, the center hosted 87 events and welcomed more than 280,000 attendees.
Those visitors generated an estimated $147.1 million in economic impact for the Tampa Bay area, supporting local hospitality jobs and businesses.
This latest honor brings the center’s 2025 award total to eight. Earlier this year, TCC received recognition from the Northstar Stella Awards as the Best Convention Center in the Southeast U.S., alongside a Smart Stars Award and several local “Tampa’s Best” distinctions.
