BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – An overnight hit and run in Brooksville, left a 59-year-old man hospitalized in serious condition.
An unknown hit and run vehicle, believed to be a passenger vehicle, was traveling southbound in the center lane of US-41 approaching the intersection of Southern Hills Boulevard. A 59-year-old Brooksville man on a bicycle, with lights as required by state law, was traveling eastbound and crossing US-41.
As the man crossed the highway, he was struck by a vehicle and who suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Following the crash, the involved vehichle fled the scene.
