Bicycle Stolen From Mulberry Publix Employee After Suspect Charges His Phone

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stole an employee’s bicycle from the Publix located at 2040 Shepherd Rd in Mulberry last Thursday.

The theft occurred on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Authorities state that the suspect was initially seen charging his cell phone for a period of time in front of the grocery store. He then allegedly stole a bicycle that belonged to a Publix employee who had parked it there when starting work at 6:00 a.m. that morning.

The stolen bicycle is described as a blue-and-black Huffy with wide tires and front lights. It is valued at $400.00.

The suspect is described as a man with shaggy brown hair and a beard, believed to be homeless. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a neon yellow long-sleeved shirt and khaki pants.
