Bloodshed In Georgia: Man Ends Life After Killing Estranged Wife

A scene of chaos and grief erupted in Georgia on April 1, 2026, leaving three children without parents following a domestic shooting and a high-speed police pursuit.

The violence began around 5:08 p.m. when deputies with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home on Oxbow Drive in Grovetown.

Inside, they found 36-year-old Myneika Scott suffering from gunshot wounds sustained during an argument. Despite the frantic efforts of nearby business employees who rushed to help before paramedics arrived, Myneika was later pronounced dead at Doctors Hospital.

Investigators quickly identified the shooter as her estranged husband, 37-year-old Titus Scott. The couple had been separated for over a year, since December 2024. Following the shooting, Titus fled the residence in his pickup truck, sparking a localized manhunt.

The search ended when deputies spotted the vehicle near the intersection of Columbia Road and Hereford Farm Road. When Titus refused to pull over, authorities prepared to end the chase using spike strips near Blanchard Road.

However, before hitting the equipment, Titus brought the truck to a sudden halt and took his own life. He was pronounced dead at the wheel.

The double tragedy forced officials to shut down sections of Hereford Farm Road for several hours as crime scene investigators processed the vehicle.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division confirmed that while the sequence of events is clear, the investigation remains open pending autopsy results.

As the community grapples with the loss, the Department of Family and Children Services has been called in to support the couple’s three children, who are now at the center of a shattered family dynamic.
