LAKELAND, Fla. — Polk County investigators are trying to put a name to a face after a theft earlier this month at a convenience store in Lakeland.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on January 7, 2026, at the Hilltop Food Mart located at 615 Daughtery Road. Detectives say a suspect entered the store and helped themselves to liquor before walking out without paying.
The individual was last seen fleeing the scene in a Chevrolet vehicle.
Deputies have released details on the theft in hopes that someone in the community might recognize the suspect or the getaway car. The Sheriff’s Office has assigned case number 26-850 to the investigation.
