The alarm bells are ringing louder than ever concerning the U.S. southern border, with Border Czar Tom Homan declaring Tuesday on Fox News’ “Hannity” that he’s harboring the “biggest concern” of his 40-year career regarding the consequences of the ongoing border situation.

His warning comes amid heightened fears of potential retaliation on U.S. soil following recent U.S. strikes against Iranian nuclear weapons program sites.

During a segment discussing the intersection of border security and foreign threats, Sean Hannity pressed Homan on the gravity of the situation, asking how “scared” the average American would be if they possessed the knowledge held by top security officials.

Homan’s response was unequivocal: “I’ve been doing this for 40 years. This is the biggest concern I’ve ever had.” He cited a grim litany of issues, including a quarter-million American deaths from fentanyl, a 600% surge in sex trafficking, and the arrest of individuals on the terrorist watchlist at the border, along with an estimated two million “gotaways.”

Throughout the previous administration, Republicans consistently raised concerns about the influx of undocumented migrants.

Reports indicate millions entered the country, with nearly two million “gotaways” recorded by mid-2024.

A House Judiciary Committee report from October 2024 further revealed that over 1.7 million migrants encountered at the southern border were flagged as “potential national security threats,” and at least 382 individuals on the U.S. terrorist watchlist were among the estimated eight million who entered since January 2021.

“This scares the hell out of me,” Homan asserted. “If you don’t think a single one of them didn’t come here to do us harm, then you’re a moron.” He reiterated, “This is the biggest issue I’ve seen in my 40-year career, and it scares the hell out of me. It should scare the hell out of every American…”

Adding to these anxieties, Department of Homeland Security officials recently arrested 11 Iranian illegal migrants over the past weekend, including one reportedly identified as an Iranian Army sniper carrying an Iranian Army identification card.

Meanwhile, the White House has highlighted the significant impact of current border policies, noting a dramatic decrease in daily border encounters and migrant crossings within the first 100 days of the Trump administration, with reported drops of 93% and 99.99% respectively.
