BRANDON, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation at the Cypress Trace Apartments, located at 812 Providence Trace Circle in Brandon.
Just before 6:30 a.m., a witness called 911 after hearing gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a victim suffering from upper body trauma.
The victim was transported to Brandon Regional Hospital where they died from injuries sustained.
“Detectives are currently processing evidence to determine what led to this incident and who was involved,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Anyone with information is urged to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.”
