CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue are on the scene of a shooting with multiple victims near the intersection of Drew Street and U.S. 19.
Four victims have been transported to local hospitals.
Police say the first call came in at around 9:30 this evening and that all four victims were shot while in one car.
One victim was airlifted to St. Joseph’s in Tampa.
The southbound access road of U.S. 19 south of State Road 590 and in the area of Drew Street is closed to all traffic.
Investigators say the suspect fled the scene in a black Nissan Altima with faded paint on the top. Police do not believe this was a random act.
