HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A Brooksville man is facing multiple drug-related charges after a six-month investigation by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation culminated in the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Hazel Avenue in Brooksville on January 22nd, 2025.
During the course of the investigation, detectives seized 10.2 ounces of marijuana and 4.7 grams of cocaine from the residence.

As a result of the investigation and the seized narcotics, 43-year-old Brian Lamar Haygood was arrested. He faces several charges, including possession with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a worship center, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cocaine.
Haygood was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center and is being held on a $31,000 bond.
