BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – Sean Kevin Dooley, 37, of Brooksville, was sentenced on January 30, 2025, to three years in prison and five years of sex offender probation for traveling to meet a minor for sex and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
The charges stem from an undercover operation conducted by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office on July 17, 2024, which resulted in the arrest of eight suspects, including Dooley.

Dooley engaged in sexually explicit conversations with an undercover detective posing as a 15-year-old girl and made arrangements to meet for sexual activity.
He was arrested and subsequently admitted to the conversations and his intentions.
