Buccaneers Beat The Panthers Now Focused On The Eagles

TAMPA, FL. – For the 5th time, the Bucs will meet the Eagles in the postseason.

Sunday at home the Bucs will take on a much better team than the one they beat in Week 6 by 6 points. Philly lost on Saturday to the Cowboys but had a bunch of players out on the reserve/Covid19 list as well as sitting several starters in order to be healthy for the playoffs.

It took the Bucs a while to get going against the Panthers Sunday but when Tom Brady got into a rhythm it was tough sledding for the Panthers. Brady finished 326 yards passing and three touchdowns.

“It was just a matter of let’s get going,” said Bucs coach Bruce Arians. “Normally when we go no-huddle we kick off pretty good. We didn’t do it early in the game but the two-minute drive convinced us that’s the way we need to play in the second half.”

The Bucs as the second seed will get possibly two games at home and that makes Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans happy.

“The fans have made it so easy for us with the energy they bring,” said Evans. “It’s something I’m not used to in the past.

Brady doesn’t study seeding as much as he does upcoming opponents.

“In the end, it’s a great achievement to get the two seed and it just felt good to win,” said Brady. With other teams, you can’t ever control any of those things.”

The Bucs host the Eagles Sunday at 1 pm in an NFC wild-card game.
