TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers delivered an impressive performance in Week Four, securing a 33-16 win against the Philadelphia Eagles. Baker Mayfield led the charge, completing 30 of 47 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing a quarterback rating of 100.2. The Buccaneers’ defense, spearheaded by Todd Bowles, relentlessly pressured Jalen Hurts, sacking him six times.
The Buccaneers wasted no time establishing their dominance. On their opening possession, a series of screens and strategic plays allowed Rachaad White to gain significant yardage, setting the stage for Mike Evans to score a two-yard touchdown. The Bucs’ defense then forced a quick three-and-out, paving the way for another touchdown, this time a 15-yard pass from Mayfield to Trey Palmer.

The second quarter saw the Buccaneers continue their momentum. Mayfield showcased his versatility with a one-yard touchdown rush, extending the lead to 21-0. The Eagles finally got on the board late in the second quarter with a touchdown pass from Hurts to Campbell, but the Buccaneers still held a commanding 24-7 lead at halftime.
The Eagles attempted a comeback in the third quarter, with Hurts scoring a one-yard touchdown run. However, the Buccaneers responded with a touchdown of their own by Irving, further solidifying their lead.

The Buccaneers’ defense continued to shine in the fourth quarter. Lavonte David secured a crucial takeaway with a sack and forced fumble, recovered by Ben Stille.
The Buccaneers capitalized on the turnover with a 52-yard field goal by McLaughlin. The defense then sealed the victory with two more sacks on Hurts, including a fourth-down takedown by Anthony Nelson, forcing the Eagles to punt and securing the 33-16 win for the Buccaneers.
This victory brings the Buccaneers’ record to 3-1.
