Bucs Coaches Happy For Tom Brady And His TV Deal With Fox

TAMPA, Fla. – Tom Brady has signed to become the highest TV NFL analyst when he retires from playing. The question is, when will that happen? No one at One Buc knows, and if Brady knows, he isn’t saying.

One thing is for sure, Bucs quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen believes he’ll knock it out of the park.

“Anything that Tom Brady puts his mind to, that he makes sure he’s good at it,” Christensen said. “That’s just how he’s wired.

Brady will be the lead analyst on Fox joining play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt the season after he retires. NY Post’s Andrew Marchand reported Fox will pay Brady $375 million on a 120-year deal. Bucs offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich thinks it’ll be a treat for fans to hear what Brady is thinking during games.

“He’s (Brady) a football junkie,” Leftwich said. “He has an interesting perspective of the position. I think it will be great for everyone to hear that. Everyone to see how he’s wired, the way he sees football. We’re talking about the nest ever. You’ve got the best ever to play quarterback, have an opportunity to listen to him talk about football. A year from now, two years from now, three years from now is a great thing.”

Brady is only signed to play for the Bucs for this upcoming season. Brady is a 7-time Super Bowl Champion entering his 23 seasons in the NFL. Brady tweeted that he’s excited to join Fox up in the booth eventually but has a lot of “unfinished business” as a player.

Brady hasn’t shown up yet to voluntary off-season workouts. The mandatory minicamp is June 7.

Brady posted a photo of him throwing to his TB12 trainer Alex Guerrero on Instagram. Brady is also practicing golf, teaming up with Aaron Rodgers to challenge young QBs Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen in the latest The Match event on June 1 in Las Vegas.
