PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 29-year-old motorcyclist is in custody after a high-speed pursuit that stretched across county lines and saw speeds reach double the legal limit.
On May 3, state troopers first spotted a motorcycle traveling at high speeds and attempting to weave through traffic. Upon closer inspection, officers noted the vehicle featured an unreadable, upside-down license plate.
When authorities attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the rider, later identified as Dalton Hubbert, allegedly refused to pull over.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the situation escalated as Hubbert accelerated to 120 miles per hour. During the ensuing chase, the motorcyclist reportedly blew through several red lights in an attempt to lose the pursuing troopers.
The pursuit continued until Hubbert eventually stopped on his own. When troopers approached to take him into custody, they discovered the man was carrying a handgun at the time of the felony arrest and wearing a bunny helmet.

Hubbert was transported to Pasco County, where he was booked into the Pasco County Jail. He now faces a string of serious charges, including fleeing and eluding law enforcement, reckless driving, and driving more than 50 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
Additionally, Hubbert is charged with the use or display of a weapon during the commission of a felony.
