POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 35-year-old Eagle Lake man was arrested on May 21st after the property owner and local deputies discovered he had been repeatedly entering a local residence without permission.
Todd Michael Lebouton faces multiple charges after the owner of the property, a New York resident, noticed signs of ‘unauthorized’ entry and contacted the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies first responded to the Eagle Lake property on May 20th. While the home was unoccupied at the time, investigators discovered evidence indicating someone had recently been inside. Deputies returned to the scene the following day, May 21st, and found further evidence of recent activity, though the intruder was nowhere to be found.
Later that same day, a passing deputy noticed changes to the property’s exterior. When deputies approached to conduct a closer inspection, Lebouton exited the structure.
According to law enforcement, Lebouton immediately told deputies that he had entered the private property because he “sh*t himself” and needed a place to change his clothes.
Upon entering the structure to investigate, deputies discovered human waste smeared on both the walls and the floors of the home. During the arrest, deputies also found Lebouton in possession of methamphetamine and drug equipment.
Lebouton was transported to the Sheriff’s Processing Center. He has been charged with third-degree felony burglary of a structure, second-degree misdemeanor creating a nuisance injurious to health, third-degree felony possession of methamphetamine, and first-degree misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
