MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 43-year-old man with a staggering 23 prior felony convictions has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after being found guilty of multiple drug trafficking charges.

Santini Antwain Chisholm received the lengthy sentence following a jury trial that concluded on March 6, 2025.

Chisholm was convicted on five counts: Armed Trafficking in Fentanyl, two counts of Armed Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Armed Trafficking in Oxycodone, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Judge Barbara Kissner-Kwatkosky handed down the half-century sentence immediately following the guilty verdict.

The conviction stemmed from a 2021 investigation initiated by the Florida Department of Probation and Parole. During a routine home check at a residence on Hemlock Course in Ocala, probation specialists discovered firearms and narcotics, prompting a call for assistance from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

Upon arrival, deputies were informed that the home check was being conducted on Chisholm, who was on probation. Latoya Wilkerson-Chisholm, who answered the door, delayed entry for an extended period, raising suspicion. Upon entering the residence, probation specialists located various illicit narcotics, scales, firearms, and large amounts of cash.

A subsequent search by MCSO deputies and the Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team (UDEST), armed with a warrant, confirmed the presence of the contraband. Chisholm denied ownership of the seized items, and Wilkerson-Chisholm declined to confirm whether the drugs belonged to her husband.

“We are fully committed to protecting our neighborhoods by aggressively prosecuting drug traffickers who endanger public safety, ensuring that those who engage in these illegal operations face severe legal repercussions,” stated Bill Gladson, State Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit. He also thanked the Department of Probation and Parole for their role in dismantling the drug operation.

Wilkerson-Chisholm had previously pleaded guilty in 2023 and was sentenced to 21 months in prison, with credit for time served, three years of probation, and 200 hours of community service.

Assistant State Attorneys Marissa Meyer Shannon and Kyle Lambert successfully prosecuted the case.
