Carville Goes Nuclear: “Not Legit” Supreme Court Faces Scorched-Earth Blast Over Voting Maps

In a profanity-laced tirade released Saturday, veteran Democratic strategist James Carville leveled a blistering attack against the United States Supreme Court, calling the institution “irredeemably corrupt” and specifically mocking Chief Justice John Roberts.

Speaking on Politicon, Carville dismissed the legitimacy of the nation’s highest court following a string of decisions regarding congressional redistricting that he claims are designed to “disenfranchise” Black voters.

Carville’s “nuclear” assessment was sparked by recent legal battles over voting maps in states like Louisiana, where a court ruling has put a Black-majority district at risk of elimination.

The strategist directed his ire at the conservative majority and the Chief Justice himself.

“It’s the idiots, the god*** idiots in the commentariat that want to like pretend these people are legit,” Carville said. “And it’s Roberts looks like some little whiny pu**y baby out there. ‘You gotta respect, we worked so hard,’ oh bulls**t.”

The rant comes at a time of heightened tension regarding the court’s public image. Chief Justice Roberts recently sought to defend the judiciary against claims of partisanship, stating that the public often misperceives the Justices as “political actors” making policy rather than legal decisions.

“I would say that’s the main difficulty,” Roberts noted.

Carville, however, rejected that defense entirely, arguing that the court’s true objective is “keeping Republicans and, more importantly, keeping corporations in power.”

He pointed to redistricting efforts in Virginia, Texas, Alabama, and Tennessee as evidence of a coordinated effort to ignore the rule of law. “I hate to say this to my Black brothers and sisters, but you can forget about f**king equal protection and due process in this country now,” Carville warned.

During the video, Carville singled out Justice Samuel Alito, questioning if the Justice cares “one iota about the rule of law.”

He further argued that the current judicial system has moved beyond the point where traditional reforms could be effective.

According to Carville, the only path forward is a radical expansion of the bench. “It can only be reformed by adding four more members, which is constitutionally permissible to do with a legislative majority,” he said. “It’s the only fking thing you could do with these people.”
