BRADENTON, Fla. – Firefighters from Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire at 4535 60th Street West shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
Units dispatched to the scene included three engines, one ladder truck, a medic unit, and a battalion chief. The West Manatee Fire Department and Manatee County Emergency Medical Services also provided assistance during the response.
Crews arrived within four minutes of the initial call at approximately 17:56 hrs and reported grey smoke coming from the roof’s ridge vents. Firefighters entered the building to search the premises and launch an aggressive fire attack. They brought the blaze under control within ten minutes of arriving on scene.
No injuries were reported among civilians or emergency responders.
One resident was displaced because of the fire. The American Red Cross stepped in to assist the individual with immediate basic needs.
An investigation conducted by the Cedar Hammock Fire Prevention Bureau determined the cause of the fire to be “Undetermined.” Officials estimated the total property and contents damage to the building at approximately $15,000.
