U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) moved aggressively on Saturday to shut down what it called a “campaign of lies” from the Iranian regime, confirming that no American service members have been killed and no U.S. Navy vessels have been struck despite a massive multi-front retaliatory barrage from Tehran.
In a series of blunt posts on X, CENTCOM dismissed Iranian claims of 50 American deaths and the sinking of a U.S. warship as total fabrications.
“The Iranian regime claims to have killed 50 U.S. service members. LIE,” the command stated. “The IRGC claims that a U.S. Navy ship was struck by missiles. LIE. No U.S. Navy ship has been struck. The Armada is fully operational.” CENTCOM further clarified that while Iranian missiles and drones did target multiple U.S. bases across the Middle East—including installations in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia—the damage was “minimal” and has not impacted ongoing combat operations.
The military’s fact-check comes at a pivotal moment for “Operation Epic Fury.”
READ: “Khamenei Is Dead”: Trump Hails “Obliteration” Of Iranian Regime, Offers Ultimatum To IRGC
Earlier Saturday, President Donald J. Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the “anchor” of the Iranian regime, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in a high-precision strike that leveled his downtown Tehran compound.
President Trump hailed the death of the 86-year-old cleric as “justice for the people of Iran” and for the “Great Americans” harmed by the regime’s three-decade reign.
While the U.S. military maintains it has successfully repelled “hundreds” of Iranian projectiles, the regional fallout remains severe:
- British Intervention: Prime Minister Keir Starmer confirmed RAF jets are in the sky to protect regional allies, calling the Iranian leadership “utterly abhorrent.”
- Tehran in Ruins: Satellite imagery confirms the total destruction of Khamenei’s offices, while Trump claimed the country has been “very much destroyed and obliterated” in a single day.
- Mass Defections: Reports are surfacing that members of the IRGC and Iranian police are seeking immunity, prompted by Trump’s ultimatum: “Now they can have immunity, later they only get death!”
Despite the “minimal” damage reported at U.S. bases like Al Dhafra and Al Udeid, the conflict has paralyzed global aviation and sent energy markets into a tailspin.
With the Supreme Leader confirmed dead and the U.S. “Armada” remaining fully operational, President Trump has vowed that pinpoint bombing will continue “uninterrupted” throughout the week to ensure the regime’s nuclear and missile capabilities are permanently erased.
