Changes To COVID-19 Testing In Citrus County

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – Starting Monday, October 5, the Florida Department of Health in Citrus County’s (DOH-Citrus) COVID-19 testing site at the Citrus Springs Community Center will be available from 7:30 to 10 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday as demand continues to decline.

Testing at the Citrus Springs Community Center, 1570 W. Citrus Springs Blvd.

in Citrus Springs, is provided at no cost to adults and children over 12, with or without symptoms. No appointment needed. Parents and guardians with children under 12 are encouraged to contact their pediatricians regarding

COVID-19 testing.

Please bring a photo ID and plan to stay in your vehicle the entire time.

There are no bathrooms available on site. Please do not call the Citrus Springs Community Center for information.

DOH-Citrus’ viral tests check samples from your respiratory system with an oral swab to tell you if you currently have an infection. If you test positive, you will be contacted by DOH-Citrus and provided instructions.

It takes approximately 3 to 5 days to receive laboratory results. The health department will call you with your results regardless if the result is negative or positive. If you don’t receive a call within 4 days, please call
