TAMPA, Fla. – Residents across the Tampa Bay area should keep their light jackets handy for a few more mornings before a steady warming trend takes over the region. Today starts the stretch of gorgeous weather with clear, sunny skies and a comfortable high near 68 degrees.
A gentle north wind between 6 to 9 mph will keep things feeling crisp but pleasant throughout the afternoon.
As the sun goes down tonight, temperatures are expected to drop significantly, reaching a low around 38 degrees. If you are heading out early Sunday morning, be prepared for a bit of a bite in the air; wind chill values could dip as low as 36 degrees before the sun starts to do its work. However, Sunday promises another full day of sunshine with a high climbing slightly further to near 70 degrees.

By the time we reach the middle of the week, the area will see daytime highs hovering in the upper 70s. Wednesday and Thursday appear to be the warmest days in the current outlook, with highs hitting 77 and 78 degrees respectively.
Nighttime lows will also become much more mild, gradually rising from the low 40s on Sunday night to the mid-50s by Thursday evening. With no rain in the forecast through next Friday, it is a perfect window for outdoor plans or catching a sunset along the coast.
