Christmas, Florida Man Charged With Meth Trafficking After Marathon Traffic Stop

MARATHON, Fla. – A 62-year-old Christmas, Florida resident was arrested Saturday on multiple drug and driving charges following a traffic stop in Marathon.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office pulled over a Ford pickup truck on U.S. 1 at approximately 10:30 a.m. for having an obstructed license plate. The driver, Scott David Caballero, was identified and found to have an outstanding, out-of-state warrant for previous driving-related violations.

Drug and Driving Charges Filed

Upon further investigation, a search of the vehicle yielded approximately 65 grams of methamphetamine and various drug paraphernalia, including pipes. Authorities noted that Caballero has a lengthy history of both driving and drug-related infractions.

Caballero was arrested and booked on charges including trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a valid license. He was subsequently transported to jail.
