Citrus County DOH Offers Drive-Thru Vaccine For Frontline Healthcare Workers

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (DOH-Citrus) will be offering COVID-19 vaccines to Citrus County health care personnel with direct patient contact.

A drive-thru clinic will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until capacity of 200 is reached, on Monday, March 8, at the Central Ridge District Park, 6905 N. Lecanto Hwy in Beverly Hills.

In order to receive a vaccine, frontline health care workers must bring proof of employment. The following list will be accepted as proof:

  • Health care license
  • ID badge from place of health care employment
  • Name and position description on agency letterhead
  • Recent copy of paystubs

Additionally, each health care worker must bring a valid Florida ID and a completed Department of Health COVID-19 Vaccine Screening and Consent, and plan to be in Citrus County to receive their second-round shot, 28 days after their first dose.

Health care workers will receive a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card that lists the date and the manufacturer for the first vaccination, as well as a date and time to come back for their second dose appointment at Central Ridge District Park. Health care workers must keep and bring the COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card to their second dose appointments to receive their second dose from DOH-Citrus.

Only the Moderna vaccine will be given at this time. Prior to receiving the vaccine, individuals will be required to complete the Department of Health

COVID-19 Vaccine Screening and Consent. To expedite the registration process, health care workers are asked to print and complete the consent form prior to arriving at the site.

Consent forms are available on the DOH-Citrus website at http://citrus.floridahealth.gov/programs-and-services/infectious-disease-services/COVID19InfoCitrusCounty or you can visit any Citrus County library to pick up or print the form at no cost.
