CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers traveling through Citrus County should prepare for minor shifts in traffic patterns along a stretch of US 19 starting Monday morning.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 has issued a traffic alert for the week of May 10 through May 16, 2026. According to the advisory, crews will be working on the northbound right shoulder of US 19 between S. Jump Court and W. Venable Street.
The scheduled work is set to begin Monday, May 11, and continue through Friday, May 15. Motorists can expect the shoulder to be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

While these closures are limited to the shoulder rather than the main travel lanes, those commuting through the area should stay alert for workers and equipment near the roadway during daylight hours.
