City of Pinellas Park Office Closures, Related Storm Updates

PINELLAS PARK, FL. – The City of Pinellas Park is monitoring Tropical Storm Elsa through its Emergency Operations Center. All City offices, the Barbara S. Ponce Library, and all recreations centers will be closed at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, July 6, 2021.

All-City offices are expected to re-open at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021. The Library and all Pinellas Park Recreation Centers will remain closed on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021.

The City of Pinellas Park has three sandbag sites open today, July 6, 2021, until 5:00 pm or until weather conditions are no longer safe for distribution.

Residents can get up to 10 sandbags each. Residents must show a water bill and/or valid driver’s license indicating they are a resident of Pinellas Park in order to receive their sandbags. Pick up location and times are below:

  • Helen Howarth Park: (Premade Sandbag Site) 6301 94th Ave N. Pinellas Park, FL starting at 8:00 am
  • Pinebrook Park: (Self Service Sandbag Site) 7202 118th Ave N. Pinellas Park, FL – starting at 8:00 am
  • Broderick Park: (Self Service Sandbag Site) 6101 66th Ave N. Pinellas Park, FL starting at 8:00 am

Trash pick-up from our provider, Waste Management, will continue to operate today, July 6, 2021, as long as weather permits.
