CLEARWATER, Fla. – Multiple emergency agencies responded to a house fire in the 2500 block of Cumberland Trail on Sunday afternoon, where one person received medical treatment on scene.
Dispatchers received the emergency call at approximately 1:37 p.m. When firefighters first arrived, they found moderate smoke pushing from the residence. Paramedics evaluated and treated one adult male at the site, though officials have not yet released details on the extent of his injuries or his identity.
Clearwater Fire & Rescue led the suppression efforts with extensive mutual aid from surrounding departments, including Palm Harbor Fire Rescue, East Lake Fire Rescue, Safety Harbor Fire Rescue, and Dunedin Fire Rescue. Sunstar Paramedics and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office also assisted on scene.
The exact cause of the blaze remains unknown. A fire investigator has been assigned to determine how the fire started, and officials noted that “additional information will be provided as it becomes available.”
