Clearwater Hosts Operation Shred on Oct. 24th

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The city’s Solid Waste and Recycling Department will offer free shredding for Clearwater residents from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Solid Waste & Recycling Complex, 1701 N. Hercules Ave., Clearwater.

The city's Solid Waste and Recycling Department will offer free shredding for Clearwater residents from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Solid Waste & Recycling Complex, 1701 N. Hercules Ave.,

The on-site shredding is offered as a deterrent to identity theft. Residents can bring documents that contain sensitive information, and they will be shredded on-site. Throwing such items away in the trash is not a good idea, as they can be obtained by criminals who go through your trash.

Operation Shred is designed for Clearwater residents, not businesses. Call the Solid Waste Operations line at (727) 562-4920 for more information.
