CLEARWATER, Fla. – The roof of the Opal Sands was struck by lightning Saturday morning sending debris into the parking lot below, according to officials.
Investigators say that one vehicle was hit by the debris but no one was injured.
Clearwater Police have closed lot 32, located next to the Opal Sands, while crews work to make sure there is no other loose debris.

Operations at the Opal sands were not affected, according to officials.
