Clearwater Pedestrian Dies from Crash Injuries

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The pedestrian who was struck Saturday night in Clearwater has died.

48-year-old Sonya Lynn Hensley of Clearwater, died from her injuries early Sunday at Bayfront Health-St. Petersburg. She was attempting to cross Missouri Avenue against the pedestrian signal when she was struck.

The intersection of Belleair Road and Missouri Avenue were shut down for several hours while the investigation took place.
