Clearwater Police Officer And Woman Stabbed During Neighborhood Disturbance

CLEARWATER, Fla. – A neighborhood dispute turned violent on Tuesday night, leaving a local woman fighting for her life and a law enforcement officer hospitalized after a double stabbing in Clearwater.

The incident unfolded just before 9:00 PM when Clearwater Police Department units were dispatched to a reported disturbance at 1301 Wood Drive. According to investigators, a female suspect attacked a woman at the scene before turning her weapon on an arriving officer.

Emergency medical teams treated the female victim on-site before transporting her to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. Officials confirmed she was admitted as a trauma alert, suffering from injuries currently described as potentially life-threatening.

The injured officer was taken to Morton Plant Hospital. While the extent of the officer’s wounds has not been fully disclosed, department spokespeople stated the injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Police successfully apprehended the female suspect at the scene. She remains in custody as detectives work to determine a motive for the attack.
