PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A collision on Monday evening involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle has left a Holiday man dead, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
Troopers were dispatched to the scene on US-19 south of Alderman Road around 6:40 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
According to the FHP report, a 16-year-old male from Clearwater was driving a GMC Sierra northbound on US-19. At the same time, a 52-year-old man from Holiday was operating a Honda motorcycle southbound on the same highway.

Investigators state that the crash occurred when the driver of the GMC Sierra attempted to make a left turn, crossing directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the pickup truck during the turn.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital for treatment. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The 16-year-old driver of the pickup truck was not reported as injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol has not released the names of those involved as the investigation remains active.
