HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A dangerous incident occurred on November 1st when a reckless driver nearly struck a young student boarding a school bus on Crenshaw Lake Road in Lutz.
The student’s mother was able to swiftly pull the child to safety, preventing a potential tragedy.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is urging drivers to be mindful and cautious when approaching school buses. Passing a stopped school bus with its stop sign extended and red lights flashing is illegal and extremely dangerous.
Let’s work together to prioritize the safety of our children and ensure they can board and exit school buses without fear.
