Chris Cuomo spoke up on his radio show Wednesday following his suspension from CNN, saying that the sidelining “hurts.”

CNN’s Cuomo Goes On Another Rant And Off Target

Conservative columnist Ben Shapiro used to joke that it was a “running gun battle” to see which Cuomo brother was the dumbest.

We might have a winner.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo may be the most treacherous, having sent thousands of COVID-afflicted elderly New Yorkers back into vulnerable nursing homes, and then trying to cover up the death toll. He also was accused of serially harassing women around COVID-afflicted.

That leaves his brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, as the one light on brain cells.

Cuomo began his broadcast Friday by bringing up the recent spate of mass shootings. He then tried to tie that to the coronavirus and suggested Republicans were to blame for both.

Then, turning back to the deaths of George Floyd last year, and more recently shootings by police of Daunte Wright in Minnesota and Adam Toldeo in Chicago, Cuomo said he knew when conservatives would change their thinking about policing needing to change.

“Shootings, gun laws, access to weapons. Oh, I know when they’ll change. Your kids start getting killed, white people’s kids start getting killed,” Cuomo said.

“Those start piling up,” he added, then suggesting parents of white people shot by police would say, “What is going on with these police? Maybe we shouldn’t even have police.” then spoke to the viewer directly as he said,

“That kind of mania, that kind of madness, that will be you. That’ll be the majority, because it’ll be you.”

Apparently, Cuomo’s producers forgot to tell him that a Maryland state trooper shot and killed a white 16-year-old, Peyton Ham, on Tuesday. Ham was carrying an airsoft pistol and a knife and pointed the toy gun at the trooper during an encounter.

While he did reference the recent mass shooting in Colorado, Cuomo neglected to point out that all 10 victims killed by a Syrian immigrant to America were white, including a 20-year-old, a 23-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman.

Cuomo also failed to mention a shooter in California, which arguably has the toughest gun-control laws in America, who on March 31 killed four people, including a 9-year-old, who, given the way liberals define race these days, would likely be considered “white Hispanic.”

In that case, the shooter was ineligible to buy a gun because he had been convicted of a crime a few years ago. As the Sacramento Bee noted, “the tragedy raises concerns over California’s ability to enforce strict gun control laws.”

Cuomo also glided over an April 7 shooting in South Carolina, where a man, a former NFL player, killed six white people including a 9-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy. Cuomo probably missed that one because the shooter was a black man.

On the other side of the coin, since Cuomo wants to complain about the police, he didn’t reference Jason Nightengale, a black man from Evanston, Illinois, who in January killed five people in a shooting spree, including a 15-year-old girl, before police killed him. Suppose Cuomo and others agree with him should tell us how terrible the police are after they stared down and took out Nightengale.

And here are a couple more stats for Cuomo to chew on.

According to The Washington Post’s database of fatal police shootings, police have killed 2,884 white people and 1,497 black people since 2015. Among whites, 682 of them were 29 or younger. For blacks in that same age group, the total was 677.

The point is that Cuomo’s rant is selective, and, as with most of the national media these days, he cherry-picks facts to make his point – reality be damned.

His suggestion that white families are seeing loved ones killed by police or mass killers is as stupid as it is wrong.

And on a different but related issue, in his rant on Friday, Cuomo complained about conservatives, such as GOP Sen. Ted Cruz, not wearing masks.

Last year, Cuomo was busted for breaking quarantine after he caught COVID and went on the air to berate the person who saw him and went public about it.

Then six months ago, in the space of a couple of weeks, Cuomo was caught cavorting maskless in a private New York City club, was threatened with a fine by an apartment building manager for entering and leaving without a mask, and photographed getting a haircut while not masked up.

All of this, of course, is CNN.

  1. Cuomo needs to be charged and arrested and impeachment. He’s a disgrace to the American people.

  2. Trump did worst. Trump actually rape or assault a least 19 women. Trump is the biggest disgrace in the US.
