Coffee Run Turns Crass: Florida Man Jailed After Drive-Thru ‘Flashing’ Incident

A Florida man is facing charges after exposing himself to workers at a local coffee shop drive-thru window.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Cory White following an incident on May 13 at Ellianos Coffee in Palm Coast. According to deputies, a worker reported that a man driving a dark van made highly inappropriate gestures while placing an order. The employee stated the driver rubbed a $20 bill over his shorts while making facial expressions to draw attention to his groin.

When a second employee stepped up to the window to see what was happening, they saw the driver with his penis fully exposed, deputies say. The worker handed over the coffee just to get the man to leave, as a long line of cars was starting to back up behind the van.

Investigators tracked White down by looking up the phone number used for the coffee shop rewards account during the order, which linked back to a family member. Traffic cameras also placed White’s vehicle in the area at the time of the incident, and an employee later picked him out of a photo lineup.

Detectives questioned White at his home on May 19. While he admitted to visiting the coffee shop and interacting with the two workers, he denied exposing himself. White suggested the employees might have just seen the outline of his clothes. According to police reports, he told detectives that his needs are not met at home, adding, “I’m a dude, and the urge is always there for sure,” but claimed he avoids that behavior now due to past legal trouble.

Records show White pleaded guilty to indecent exposure in 2023 after a similar incident in a GameStop parking lot. He also has prior convictions for burglary, grand theft, and petit theft.

“This is the second case in just a few months that we have arrested perverts exposing themselves to innocent workers at a drive-thru,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in a statement. “This kind of behavior is disgusting, and no employee just trying to work should be exposed to this type of behavior. This is White’s second time he has been arrested for this type of behavior. Since he didn’t learn last time, he needs a harsh penalty and get the help he needs before he continues to escalate his disturbing behavior.”

White was charged with exposure of sexual organs, marked as a second offense. He was booked into the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and was later released after posting a $2,500 bond.
