TAMPA, Fla. – If you drive on Columbus Drive, get ready for some closures. The road will be closed daily between Nebraska Avenue and Florida Avenue for construction.

  • Wednesday, September 10, through Friday, September 12
  • Monday, September 15, through Friday, September 19

The closures are needed so crews can work on a bridge as part of the big I-275/I-4 project.

Drivers will have to take a different route.

  • If you’re heading west: Turn right on Nebraska, left on Floribraska, and left on Tampa Street.
  • If you’re heading east: Turn left on Florida, right on Floribraska, and right on Nebraska.

Signs will be up to help you find your way. Please drive carefully, watch for workers, and be patient. The entire project is expected to be finished in 2027.
