Some conservatives, such as Ben Shapiro, point out that the supply of racism in American comes nowhere close to meeting the demand for it from liberals – thus, the race-hoax cup runneth over.
Central Connecticut State University just went through this with its own Bubba Wallace-style controversy.
Just ahead of Memorial Day, a construction crew hoisted an American flag by a cable attached to a crane. But it was what was at the end of the cable that set off many at this college in a deep-blue state.
A loop.
Race-baiting critics argued that a loop in the cable just below the flag was a noose.
Campus cops were called in and almost immediately the claims were revealed as bogus.
University President Zulma Toro issued an email noting in was “not a noose but a standard steel cable loop hanging from a crane.”
Despite that Toro’s staff whirled into high gear and began “working diligently,” as a university spokesman put it, to try to get rid of the loop, in order to ease the “pain” many claimed to be feeling by looking at the cable – “pain” that was shared by university administrators, the spokesman said.
The reason for that was evident from comments by one of those many liberals who reject reality and see only what they want to see.
According to the conservative website The College Fix, Ronald Davis, president of the nearby NAACP, told local media, “Regardless of what someone else says about that, what I see, as a black man? That’s a noose. Period. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Take it down.”
College Fix reported that one of its readers looked closer at a photo of the crane and had an epiphany.
Cables strung from the crane displayed three or perhaps four loops. Yet only one seemed to draw attention.
“I guess they noticed only the one holding the flag, which means that it’s the flag that triggers them,” the reader told College Fix.
Well, we know from comments in the past few days that people such as New York Times editorial writer Mara Gay and “The View” host Sunny Hostin, both of whom are black, admit to being triggered by the American flag, even as they enjoy the fruits of everything that flag represents.
