CLEARWATER, Fla. – Motorists traveling on southbound US 19 in Clearwater will face a detour next week as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) closes access to County Road 39 (CR 39) for three days as part of an ongoing improvement project.
The temporary closure is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. on Monday, November 10, and the road is expected to reopen before 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, pending favorable weather conditions.
Detour Information
During the closure, drivers who typically use the exit from southbound US 19 to access CR 39 will be directed to follow a marked detour route.
- Detour: Motorists must use Curlew Road and Belcher Road to navigate around the work zone and reach CR 39.
FDOT has advised that advanced warning signs and message boards are being deployed to help guide drivers through the area.
