A Florida man is behind bars after a crazed vehicular rampage through neighborhoods, smashing a company car into garages and even hitting a person.

On August 12, Lee County deputies were notified of a disgruntled employee driving a company car through a North Fort Myers neighborhood crashing into garages and hitting a resident.

Deputies were dispatched to Seaside Harbour Drive, where they discovered 4 garages had been driven into with a vehicle. Multiple witnesses on the scene reported seeing the company vehicle drive into the garages and leave the neighborhood at a high rate of speed.

On scene, deputies located one victim with non-life threatening injuries, who was struck by the car, and another victim claimed the driver swerved in an attempt to hit her.

The driver, identified as 50-year-old Riquelmis Cazadilla, then drove the damaged company vehicle to the Lee County Sheriffs Office North District substation where he told deputies he went on the rampage because a co-worker owed him $10,000.

Deputies learned the neighborhood Cazadilla targeted was where his co-worker lives, and Cazadilla had made multiple threats against the worker and his family.

Cazadilla was detained and taken to the Lee County Jail for extortion, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and two counts of culpable negligence.

“I will not tolerate anyone who puts the residents of Lee County in any kind of dangerous situation,” said Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “His disregard for human life in an attempt to get revenge is sickening. I hope he enjoys the confinement of the Marceno Motel because his joyride is over,” said Sheriff Marceno.

Deputies estimate the damage done to the homes and vehicle cost $8,300.
