INDIAN ROCKS BEACH, Fla. – A local man is in custody following an investigation by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit (CAC) into the sharing of illicit materials online.
The investigation began after detectives received a tip that child pornography was being accessed and distributed via the internet. Through advanced investigative techniques, authorities identified the source of the activity as 57-year-old Gary J. Ross of Indian Rocks Beach.
Detectives stated that the evidence included images of children between the ages of two and fourteen.
On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, detectives arrested Ross without incident. He has been charged with 21 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Ross was subsequently transported and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
