DADE CITY, Fla. – The planned closure of Tuskeegee Avenue at its intersection with the US 98 Bypass/US 301, originally scheduled to begin this Monday, has been postponed. The construction work will now begin a week later, on Monday, September 15, 2025.

Officials apologize for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling. The around-the-clock closure is still expected to last for one week, with construction crews working to complete the project by approximately Sunday, September 21, 2025.

The purpose of the closure remains the same: to facilitate necessary construction work that will improve the safety and efficiency of the roadways. The designated detour will also remain the same, directing motorists to use Tuskeegee Avenue, Wilson Street, Canal Street, Taylor Avenue, Delmar Street, and Martin Luther King Boulevard to navigate around the construction zone.

Drivers who rely on this route should make a note of the new dates and plan their travel accordingly. Officials thank the public for their patience and cooperation as they work to complete these road improvements.
