Dade City Drivers Face Detours as Crucial Road Connection Closes at US 98 Bypass
DADE CITY, Fla. – Drivers in Dade City should plan for a significant detour this week as Tuskeegee Avenue has been completely closed at its connection to the US 98 Bypass/US 301.
The closure, which began on Monday, September 15, is necessary for ongoing construction work and is expected to last around the clock until approximately Sunday, September 21, 2025.
Thru traffic is being rerouted, with no access to or from Tuskeegee Avenue at the US 98 Bypass intersection.

Officials have established a detour using a series of local roads to guide motorists around the construction zone. The official detour route directs traffic onto Tuskeegee Avenue, Wilson Street, Canal Street, Taylor Avenue, Delmar Street, and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Commuters should anticipate delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes or allow for extra travel time during the week-long closure.
