Davenport Man Arrested By Polk Deputies On Domestic Battery, Probation Violation Warrants

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Richard Mangone, 44, of Davenport, was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) on Sunday morning, January 26th, after deputies located him at his apartment complex.

At approximately 8:54 a.m., PCSO deputies responded to an apartment complex on Champions Ridge Drive in search of Mangone, who had an active Polk County warrant for felony domestic battery and an Osceola County warrant for violation of probation related to a previous domestic violence charge.

Upon arrival at the complex, deputies spotted Mangone on the third-floor stairs. Recognizing the approaching law enforcement officers, Mangone attempted to flee in the opposite direction.

However, he was quickly apprehended after discovering deputies positioned in the other stairwell, effectively blocking his escape.

Mangone was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Polk County Jail. He will face charges related to the outstanding warrants in both Polk and Osceola counties.
