POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 41-year-old Davenport woman was arrested last week after a social visit allegedly turned into a multi-day crime spree involving stolen electronics and fraudulent bank charges.

Polk County Sheriff’s deputies caught up with Teresa Lamboy on February 11 at a home on Palmera Drive, ending a brief search that began when a Poinciana resident realized her belongings—and her money—had vanished.

The incident dates back to February 9, when Lamboy was reportedly a guest at the victim’s home. According to investigators, the victim didn’t initially realize anything was wrong.

It wasn’t until her bank reached out about suspicious activity that the pieces started falling into place. By then, an iPhone 16, $100 in cash, and a bank card were missing.

Authorities say the unauthorized charges didn’t stop at one. A string of fraudulent transactions followed the initial theft, leading detectives straight to Lamboy, who was already known to the victim.

After her arrest on Tuesday, Lamboy was transported to the Sheriff’s Processing Center for booking.

She currently faces several serious charges, including grand theft, the fraudulent use of a credit card, and unlawful possession of personal identification.
