HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputies are on the scene of a homicide investigation in the Palm River neighborhood after a 911 emergency call led them to a grim discovery Friday afternoon.
The emergency call came in just after 3 p.m. on June 19, 2026, drawing a heavy law enforcement presence to a home on Tuscan Loon Drive. Inside the residence, responding deputies discovered the body of an adult woman. Investigators noted she had suffered severe trauma to her upper body.
An adult male was also found at the home. First responders transported him to Tampa General Hospital to treat minor injuries. Medical staff reports that he is currently in stable condition.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal confrontation appears to be a domestic-related incident. Officials confirmed that all parties involved in the situation have been accounted for, meaning detectives are not looking for any outstanding suspects, and there is no broader threat to the public.
The identity of the deceased woman and the hospitalized man have not yet been released. Crime scene technicians and detectives remain at the home as they continue to gather evidence and establish a timeline of the events.
